PIR® Reading Room

What PIR® has made ready for visitors: how our approved work gets done, the decks that walk you through it, and anything the Board chooses to share. Drafts stay with members until they're ready.

Read now

PDFs you open in the browser. Each one arrived here from the members' room after a check that read every word.

  • Nothing has arrived yet: the first copy from the members' room is waiting for its key. Members can read everything now in the members' room.

The members' room

Everything on this page started there. The private room holds PIR®'s proposals, procedures and decks while they're drafts, as PDFs you read in the browser.

Members only

The way in: PIR®'s members' reading room

Sign in to GitHub first. If you're a reader, this opens; if you see "404", you're signed out or not on the list yet (see below).

Your helper

Bringing an AI helper

A helper can read the room with a read-only token that names only the reading room. Never paste a password into a chat. The steward will walk you through it.

Open to everyone

No account needed. Each of these is published from a private original, and only what an officer has listed.

Procedures

Standard operating procedures

How PIR® does an approved thing, step by step, so anyone in service can do it. The procedures every organisation in the family shares appear there, each beside its PDF; start with SOP-COM-001, New to GitHub: your first hour.

What the Board has published

Proposals are read by members while they're open. Anything the Board chooses to share with everyone appears in its public folder.

Ask for access

Three steps. Your GitHub name is shared only with the stewards.

  1. Have a GitHub account with two-factor on. Free is fine. Use a name you're comfortable with; anonymity comes first.
  2. Ask. Type /github in PIR®'s Discord, or use the web helpdesk, and say "reading room, please".
  3. Accept the invitation. On an officer's yes you're added to the readers. Accept the email (or the bell on GitHub), then open the private room.

Reading is all the room gives: nobody can change anything in it by reading. If a link doesn't open, send the address and the error, never a password.
