🧭 Roadmap
TL;DR: PIR®'s GitHub home now has one navbar everywhere, one window for every way to reach PIR, a map of every page and desk, and a donate page. Next come the real words about giving, every committee's Discord channel, and giving with crypto. No dates: each step lands in the changelog when it's ready.
Where PIR’s GitHub home (the hub, this AstroLog and the helpdesk portals) is headed, in rough order.
What’s already done is in the changelog,
and what keeps it all running is on the sustainability
page. This is also the repository’s ROADMAP.md. A.L.E.X. keeps
its own roadmap.
✅ Just landed
- 🧭 One navbar on every page: the hub, the AstroLog, A.L.E.X. and every desk, with an icon on every link, folding into “More” and then a Menu on smaller screens instead of wrapping.
- 💬 One window for every way to reach PIR® (CONTACTS.md, both contact forms, info@), and one for where the fellowship gathers (Discord, committee channels, WhatsApp threads).
- 🗺️ A map of every place these pages lead, every desk included, each with its own picture.
- 💜 A donate page that points to PIR’s own 7th Tradition page, with a thank-you list for those who’d like to be named.
- 🖼️ A share card of its own for every desk, so a desk’s link arrives looking like that desk.
🔜 Next
- 📝 The real words about giving. PIR® is self-supporting under its traditions: it can’t accept
outside contributions, but it can accept donations, and other organizations have sponsored the
journey. The wording is being written alongside the privacy policy, the shop, books and merch; a
marked placeholder holds its place on
/donate/. - 💬 Every committee’s Discord channel in the community window, as each committee names its
channel publicly (LitCom’s
#🖨lit-comis there now). - 👛 Give from a crypto wallet on
/donate/: one button for browser wallets, phone wallets and email sign-in. The slot is there now, empty on purpose. - 🔒 Live private rows on the ledger, once a read-only
LEDGER_TOKENis added.
🌌 Later, and still being explored
- 🙏 Thanks you can claim yourself: a contributor could add their name to the contribution ledger by signing with a wallet, with no personal details involved.
- 👋 A welcome from PIR’s founder. The welcome guide keeps a space for a few words from Kevin F, empty on purpose until he’d like to write them.
- 🕸️ A network of our own. A small social space owned by the fellowship, on open protocols like Lens and Farcaster, paired with a DAO and run by group conscience, anonymity first. A direction, not a promise.
