LitCom October report: the book launch, old minutes on the record, and a fellowshipping month

MediumLit Com 2 min readBy Christopher W
TL;DR: LitCom's monthly report to the GSR Subcommittee, October 17, 2026. October was a fellowshipping month as members supported the convention and each other. The "Living Psychedelic Sober" book launch is woven through PIR's web presence, historical minutes are being populated onto the AstroLog with 2025-2026 gaps to be filled soon, a second batch of FAQ questions is in the works for the main site, and the next meeting is Tuesday, November 10 at 5:00 PM Pacific / 8:00 PM Eastern.

Submitted for the October 17, 2026 GSR meeting; also filed here so the record and the report are the same document. Attendance at the October 13 meeting: Megan P, Titus and Christopher W.

What we worked on

  • The book launch is on the site. “Living Psychedelic Sober” is now woven through PIR’s web properties: the Twelve Step pages carry the new artwork and links to the book.
  • Old minutes are coming onto the record. Historical Literature Committee minutes have been populated to the AstroLog, with the 2025-2026 gaps to be filled in soon. Minutes on Google Drive are migrating to the changelog, retroactive entries included, with original sources kept linked.
  • The second FAQ batch is in the works. Building on the first batch from the 2025 member-materials work, LitCom will develop a second batch of FAQ questions for the main site as part of the member materials. (See the member-materials teaser for the story so far, including the second FAQ lineage found already live on the site.)
  • A fellowshipping month. Committee work resumes its regular rhythm; most of October went to supporting the convention and each other.

Next meeting

The Literature Committee meets the second Tuesday of the month: the next meeting is Tuesday, November 10, 5:00 PM Pacific / 8:00 PM Eastern. All are welcome.
